Thed Björk maintained his fifth position on the grid in the second FIA World Touring Car Cup race at Suzuka, claiming vital points to the drivers' championship.
The Lynk & Co Cyan Racing driver came under hard pressure from Honda driver Tiago Monteiro, but was able to defend his position throughout the 24-lap race.
Yvan Muller keeps third in the championship after a solid drive from 17th on the grid to finish 14th and secure two points.
Team-mates Yann Ehrlacher and Andy Priaulx made progress as well to finish 15th and 16th respectively.
The team faces a short turnaround ahead of the final race of the weekend, starting at 11:30 local time.
